ANF Events is an established and growing event production company delivering high-quality corporate, private, and live events across the UK. We provide complete event solutions including production, staging, audio visual, lighting, and technical management.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Event Technician (Audio Visual) to join our expanding technical team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering flawless event execution.
The Role
As an Event Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, installing, operating, and de-rigging AV equipment for a wide range of live events. You will work both on-site and in our warehouse facilities to ensure all equipment is prepared to the highest standard.
You will play a key part in ensuring events run smoothly, professionally, and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate sound, video, and basic lighting systems
- Prepare, test, and maintain AV equipment in warehouse
- Install staging, screens, projectors, PA systems, and LED walls
- Assist with live event operation and technical support
- Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently during live events
- Load and unload equipment safely
- Deliver and collect equipment using company vehicles
- Work closely with project managers and production leads
- Supervise freelance crew where required
- Ensure all work complies with health & safety regulations
- Maintain high standards of equipment care and presentation
The Candidate
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in live events or AV production
- Good working knowledge of audio systems, video distribution, and basic lighting
- Understanding of signal flow and technical troubleshooting
- Comfortable working long hours when required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
- Physically fit and comfortable lifting technical equipment
- Flexible and willing to travel nationwide
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with digital sound desks (e.g., Allen & Heath, Yamaha)
- Experience with video switching systems
- IPAF / PASMA certification
- First Aid training
- Forklift licence
